Sunday Morning “I just got laid” Coffee Cake

So, you had a good Saturday night at the bar. Caught you a tasty little morsel. You didn’t even kick him out after the main course. So, it’s Sunday morning and you want to impress him with some quick and tasty culinary skill. Here’s a recipe that easy to make and sure to please.

Start coffee brewing and get the oven heating to 325 degrees.

Topping
4 tbsp butter
4 tsp cinnamon
4 tbsp flour
1 cup brown sugar

In a small sauce pan, melt butter. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients to form a crumbly mixture. This is the topping.

Batter
1/4 cup oil
1 egg
1/2 cup milk

In a small bowl, mix these together using a fork:
3/4 cup sugar
1-1/2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

Add remaining ingredients and mix together with a stiff spoon. Into a glass 9x9 pan (shoot this with a bit of spray oil) pour the batter. The batter is quite thick, so you may need to push it into the pan corners. Crumble the topping over the top. Bake in oven for 25 to 35 minutes.

In the meantime, take two mugs of coffee back into the bedroom and have yourself a second helping. By the time you have cleaned his plate, hot coffee cake is ready to greet the both of you. Best served immediately and with lots of butter. Boner apetit!
