Pumping Your Tool

Question:

My new bear sex friend loves to pump his penis and balls. I must admit that it's rather exotic and strangely interesting to see the results. He wants to set up a scene where we pump together, but I'm rather concerned. I've always had an autocock that never let me down, and I don't want to do anything that interferes with the hydraulics. Is this a real concern?

Answer:

I suspect that guys have been pumping ever since the invention of a machine to make a vacuum. Somehow this is not something covered in any history class that I’ve ever taken.

As you’ve noticed, pumping can cause a very firm to a massive erection, but too much vacuum can cause bruising and edema.

In the penis there are 2 major tubes that fill with blood to cause erections (the corporus cavernosum). The penis is not a muscle, but mainly 2 large tubes that become rigid with increased blood flow. The increased blood flow is caused by the nerves from the spinal cord and brain allowing more blood flow into the penis and restricting the blood flow out of the penis... blood gets trapped, hard on begins.

There is only so much blood those tubes can hold, and that’s why it’s not easier to get a bigger cock than the one we are born with.

I’ve not seen much, if any, truly scientific research about pumping other than the articles published by companies selling the pumps, so my comments are mainly from my experience and theory.

I know from personal experience that you can pump too much. Once the major ‘tubes’ of the penis are filled with blood then there is not much more that can enter them even with a lot of negative pressure. The tissues around those tubes though are very flexible and can become swollen, edematous and huge. It’s this edema that causes the massive look. This level of edema can last a few hours. It looks good but the penis may not be quite as sensitive to stimulation.

If you continue to make a stronger vacuum, there can be so much blood and fluid pulled into the skin and the tissue under the skin that you can develop blistering and bruising. This would usually not cause any permanent damage but could take a few days to clear.

There are 2 concerns that I have that might lead to permanent damage to the penis:

    1. pumping the penis for 4 hours or longer in one session could lead to damage to the erectile tissue and cause problems with future erections,
    2. or if there is too much of a vacuum, there could be trauma to the tubes (corporus cavernosum) causing some scarring. This scarring could cause some nodules that would make the penis curve abnormally with erections (Peyronie’s disease).

I think that moderation is the key. If there is blistering or bruising, you’ve probably gone too far. If you pump more than 4 hours continuously, there certainly could be some damage. If you use a moderate vacuum and a reasonable amount of time, I feel that it’s harmless play.

Just know that too much can be too much. OK?
